Spicy Tamari Nuts

Almonds are the king of the nut, great heart food and delicious when shared in bed together. This recipe adds that seductress spice cinnamon, and luscious red cranberries for an added and titillating taste sensation.

5 cloves
1/2 stick of cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper flakes1 teaspoon ginger
1 tablespoon honey
1/8 cup tamari soy sauce (gluten free is available)

In a small double bowler or bowl placed in hot water, melt honey and tamari.

Grind spices together in clean coffee mill that has not been used for grinding coffee.

Add the spices to the tamari mix and then 1 cup of almonds. Mix well, coating the nuts well.

Lay almonds on an oiled cookie sheet. Place in oven and roast for 5-10 minutes at 350. Keep a watchful eye on the almonds as they burn quickly. Stir every five minutes and sample for desired crispness.
