Mulled Red Wine
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons honey
4 whole cloves
4 allspice berries
1 cinnamon stick
1 thinly sliced orange or lemon
1 bottle fruity dry red wine (merlot or cabernet)
Bring the water, honey, cloves, allspice, cinnamon stick and orange to a
simmer over a medium heat until the honey liquefies. Add the bottle of wine and
let simmer until the wine is hot. It should take about 10-15 minutes. Make sure
the wine doesn't boil.
