Menu Planning 101
Why Menu Plan? Because it saves money, time and your health! Unfortunately, with supermarkets on every corner carrying every kind of food imaginable, it's easy to head up to the deli for dinner. Two years ago my homeschooling friend and I reached a turning point. Both of us wanted to feed our families healthy, interesting meals but neither of us could find the time to prepare them. So we came up with an idea: every Sunday we'd call each other on the phone and plan our week's worth of meals. Suddenly, we both had an extra 30-60 minutes in our day, just from planning meals! Not only did we find extra time but we discovered how relaxing and enjoyable dinner could be when there wasn't a lot of stress involved. Like every good parent I want to feed my children good food consistently. Unfortunately, with our busy schedules it was getting difficult to follow through with that.
